The new, lower price point on the Retina 5K iMac makes Apple's latest all-in-one desktop more accessible, and a price-drop on the higher-end model to $2,299 makes the entire lineup more affordable as well.

The Force Touch trackpad was introduced alongside the all new MacBook back in March but shipped first on the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro that same month. With the new 15-inch MacBook Pro update, Apple brings parity to the trackpads, but not yet the processors — the 15-inch is still using fourth-generation "Haswell" chipsets.

Read our 2015 MacBook review

[/url]

The iMac with Retina 5K display makes use of a custom timing controller to enable a resolution beyond what current chipsets can support.
