Mailplane for Mac gains Inbox by Gmail supportMailplane, a Mac app that that puts a native wrapper around the Gmail web experience, has added full support for opening Inbox by Gmail. Version 3.6 of Mailplane also brings a number of other improvements, including the ability to return to a window's regular zoom level, remembering the UI state on quit, and more. Introduced in late 2014, Inbox by Gmail is an alternative way of managing Gmail. Treating email more like a to-do list, Inbox lets you snooze messages for later, or mark them as complete. Inbox will also bundle mail together based on its type, such email about online purchases or trips. Now, when opening a new Mailplane tab, you'll have not only the options of Gmail, Contacts, and Calendar, but now also Inbox. There does seem to be one major known issue with Inbox in Mailplane 3.6. Opening an attachment in Inbox still causes Mailplane to freeze, which Mailplane says is due to an error on Inbox's part. The update for Mailplane is available now.
