Welcome to the new Macworld (again)
Welcome to the new Macworld. It’s just like the old Macworld, but better in a few new ways.
The biggest difference—as you no doubt already noticed—is our new design. We’ve adopted a new layout and typeface for our stories. More importantly, we’ve radically redesigned our homepage. We’ve added a big area at the top of the page where we can highlight the one or two most important stories of the day—the ones we’re particularly proud of, the ones we really want you to see. Below that you’ll find all the other great content—reviews, news, and how-to’s—that you expect from us.
What hasn’t changed is our devotion to covering everything in the world of Macs, iPhones, iPads, and iPods. If Apple makes it, or if it works with something Apple makes, you’ll find it covered here. In fact, we’re going to focus on that stuff like never before.
That’s because we have a new sister-site, TechHive, which we’ve set up specifically to cover all those digital technologies—photography, the Web, social media, gadgets and games, digital entertainment services such as Spotify and Netflix, non-Apple smartphones and tablets—that don’t care what brand of computer, phone, or tablet you use.
So if you want information about any of those platform-agnostic technologies, I invite you to head over TechHive and check it out. If you’re looking for information about the Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod, we are here for you.
One more note: In addition to its new design, macworld.com is also running on a new back-end publishing system (which we share with TechHive and PC World). Any time you start using a new content-management system, there will be bugs. So if you spot one, we want to hear about it; just send a note to
bugreport@macworld.com.
