Remains of the Day: Drop it like it's hot
   




   

The rumored iPad mini may drop early next month, Apple’s getting ready to drop in its new data center, and some devout folks think Apple should drop its logo. The remainders for Friday, October 19, 2012 are just dropping by to say hi.

Everybody sure seems to think that the iPad will ship on November 2. The only question, then, is when November 2 will happen.


Apple starts work on massive Prineville data center (The Oregonian)


Apple’s broken ground on its new Prineville, Oregon data center. “Each building is more than twice the size of a typical Costco store,” but no news on whether the facility will offer Cheese Balls in bulk.


Bitten: Apple’s ‘blasphemous’ logo under fire in Russia (CNet)


A report suggests some Eastern Orthodox Christians in Russia may be offended by Apple’s logo, equating it with the apple from the garden of Eden. I think we can all agree that if Adam had had an iPhone, he would have been way too busy playing Tiny Wings.
