Are you sitting down? Because the Wall Street Journal says Apple’s going to release a new iPhone this year. I know! Elsewhere, Alan Kay takes a potshot at the iPad, and the first Steve Jobs movie gets ready to hit many of your screens. The remainders for Tuesday, April 2, 2013 love that old time rock 'n roll.


Apple to Begin iPhone Production This Quarter (Wall Street Journal, subscription required)


It’s always fun when a respected outlet like the Journal decides to jump into the rumor pond. The publication says that Apple will likely release an iPhone “similar in size and shape to its current one” sometime this summer, as well as perhaps a less expensive iPhone with a different casing in the second half of the year. In other words, the forecast calls for one to two iPhones, sometime in a six month period. Nailed it.
