Sharp Bringing OS X-Compatibility to New 32" 4K Touchscreen Monitor

Sharp has announced that its 32" 4K touchscreen monitor will eventually have drivers for full OS X touchscreen support, reports Japanese site Mac Otakara [Google Translate] (via 9to5Mac).     The display, which is aimed at retail/commercial applications (PDF), sports a 3840x2160 IGZO LCD panel and includes a capacitative touch interface and pen support. Sharp demonstrated the display running off an Apple notebook at the CEATEC Japan trade show earlier this month.   Sharp demonstrated the panel at CES earlier this year, though it wasn't running OS X at the time:      Recent Mac and iOS Blog Stories • Beats to Launch Beats Music iOS App Within the Next Few Months • Skype for iPhone and iPad Updated With iOS 7 Redesign • iPhone 5s Tops Sales Charts at Major U.S. Carriers as iPhone 5c and Galaxy S4 Battle for Second • Apple's New Operations Campus in Austin, Texas Taking Shape • 500px for iOS Updated with New Edge-to-Edge Design, Inline Swipe Gestures • Walmart Drops iPhone 5c Pricing to $45 On Contract Through the Holidays • 'Iconic' Coffee Table Book Offers 650 Photographs of Apple Products  • Best Buy Knocks $50 Off iPhone 5c Pricing Just Two Weeks After Launch [Update: RadioShack Too]
