The social networking giant revealed that Slingshot was accidentally and prematurely leaked, saying that the project is still in development and will show up at an unspecified later date.</p> <!--break--> <p>"Earlier today, we accidentally released a version of Slingshot, a new app we're working on," Facebook told
TechCrunch. "With Slingshot, you'll be able to share everyday moments with lots of people at once. It'll be ready soon and we're excited for you to try it out."</p> <p>So for now, back to

Facebook is rolling out a new app called Slingshot, a new way to share moments with your friends. Slingshot, which
was first reported last month, lets you quickly capture a photo or video (shot), much like
Snapchat.</p> <p>You and your friends will need to unlock the ability to see each others shots, which is done simply by sharing shots with one another. you can respond to a shot with a quick reaction gesture. You can view shots when you want to, and you can delete any that you send by swiping them away, and your friends will no longer be able to see them. You can annotate your images with text and drawings.</p> <p>Slingshot is currently rolling out around the world, in countries like Australia, Malaysia, and India where the calendar has already flipped the page to June 10. We're expecting it to hit Europe and the United States at some point tomorrow, possibly as soon as midnight.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="
