Nest that will enable the company's MyQ app to work with the thermostat so it can better regulate heating and cooling use in the home.</p> <!--break--> <p>Liftmaster stated:</p>
<p>MyQ will allow users to easily and quickly set their Nest Learning Thermostat to "Home" and "Away" modes from within the MyQ app. Additionally, when people open the garage door upon arriving home, MyQ can tell their Nest Thermostat they're home. When they close the garage door on their way out, the thermostat can go into Away mode so they don't waste energy heating or cooling an empty home.</p>
<p>The MyQ app is currently available for Android and iOS devices but there's no word on when the Nest features will be added. What do you think about this new partnership between LiftMaster and Nest?</p> <p>Source:
