Catalyst's first Apple Watch case offers heavy-duty protection and water resistance

[/url]

Catalyst, known for creating waterproof and rugged cases for the iPhone and iPad, has announced its first case for the Apple Watch. The case adds to the watch's fairly impressive water resistance, protecting it without cutting off access to either the digital crown or the side button.

The Catalyst Case for Apple Watch is built for an IP-68 protection rating, making it both dust tight and allowing for immersion into water deeper than one meter. It's also meant to meet the MIL-SPEC 810G rating for drop protection. While it covers the digital crown and side button to keep the watch protected, the case has its own crown and button, letting you continue to access Siri, scroll through lists, and quickly message your contacts.

You'll be able to purchase the case in black, white, and grey, each with different accent colors. All cases will come with a 24mm quick-release nylon wrist strap. Currently Catalyst has only announced a case for the 42mm version of the Apple Watch. It can be pre-ordered now for $59.99, for shipment in November.

Pre-order the Catalyst Case for Apple Watch - $59.99
