Twitter for Mac, Tweetbot score support for 10,000-character direct messages

Additionally, popular third-party Twitter client Tweetbot (http://www.imore.com/mac/tweetbot) has also added the feature, along with Retina display performance improvements.</p> <!--break--> <p>Previously, Twitter held direct messages to the same 140-character limit they place on standard tweets and replies.
