Kickstarter sensation Pebble raised over $10 million in pledges for its smart watch that paired with iOS and Android devices over Bluetooth, receiving 85,000 pre-orders from backers. The huge number, though, introduced a lot of delays into the manufacturing of the watch, with the initial September release date pushed back indefinitely. Today, at CES 2013, Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky announced that the company would start shipping the watch to Kickstarter backers starting Jan 23rd, in lots of 15,000 units each week.
