New report claims 12.9-inch iPad Pro won't go into production until early 2015

[/url]

A new report claims the long-rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro (http://www.imore.com/ipad-pro) won't be launching until early 2015. While unannounced products can never be delayed, the report suggests meeting demand for the new iPhone 6 (http://www.imore.com/iphone-6) and iPhone 6 Plus (http://www.imore.com/iphone-6-plus) is Apple's priority right now. That's according to the Wall Street Journal (http://online.wsj.com/articles/larger-apple-ipad-to-be-delayed-1412846867):

"The top priority for the supply chain is to meet the overwhelming demand for the larger screen iPhones. The output of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus remains unsatisfactory," said a person at a supplier. "It would be challenging for display makers to split resources and spend a few months to ramp up production for a new larger screen iPad now."

An iPad Pro at 12.9-inches would likely be more of a niche product, aimed at power users and creative professionals, though larger phone sizes could also drive other customers towards larger iPads. With a big phone you might not need to carry a small tablet with you, and be able to enjoy a bigger tablet at home or at work.

Apple is expected to officially reveal new versions of its current iPads (http://www.imore.com/ipads), along with new Mac (http://www.imore.com/macs), at at an October special event (http://www.imore.com/ipad-mac-event) to be held at its Cupertino, California headquarters on the 16th.

If Apple announced a larger iPad, would you be interested in getting it?
