Intel’s new 3D NAND Technology allows for 10TB or larger drives, improves SSD performance

Intel and Micron jointly announced the availability of new 3D NAND technology that significantly boosts the performance and storage capacities of flash memory. This new flash technology would allow for the addition of 10TB or greater drives in of future Mac computers and other devices. This potential storage increase is a significant improvement over the current 1TB PCIe flash storage modules available now in the MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro.
