LunaTik has launched the Kickstarter campaign for the Epik, a rugged case for the Apple Watch.

[/url]

The team behind the TikTok and LunaTik iPod nano watch kits are at it again, this time looking to protect your new Apple Watch. The Epik is an aluminum alloy case that protects the more sensitive parts of the watch, while leaving the screen, heart rate monitor, and other parts accessible.

Epik's rugged case encloses and protects the Apple Watch's more sensitive and delicate areas. The premium, anti-dust and dirt coated silicone sport strap or aluminum link bracelet with silicone sub-links and butterfly clasp, are designed for long term comfort and durability, even through your toughest workouts. Epik's highly tactile Active-Control Crown couples seamlessly with Apple's Digital Crown to enhance grip, making interaction with your apps more efficient in highly active moments.

The Epik comes with its own built-in solutions for interacting with the Apple Watch's digital crown and side button while still protecting them.

Currently, LunaTik is focusing on a case for the 42mm Apple Watch, and will be compatible with existing LunaTik straps and bands, and they can be swapped out for new bands. The Epik comes in either silver or black anodized aluminum.

As of this writing, the case has raised $50,175, with a goal of $100,000.
