How to track and find Pokémon with Sightings and Nearby in Pokémon Go

How do you track nearby Pokémon in Pokémon Go? With the newly updated Sightings and — if you're lucky! — Nearby screens!

Update: Nearby isn't just for San Francisco anymore! Pokémon Go just started rolling it out to a few places in Arizona, Washington, and the "rest" of the Bay Area — whatever that means! It's still a huge advantage for players in the area, so hopefully they hurry up and roll it out everywhere! Details on how to use Nearby, below!


  As you might be aware, we're currently testing a variation of the Nearby Pokémon feature in San Francisco, California. Starting today, we will be expanding the ability for Trainers in parts of Arizona, the Seattle area of Washington state, and the rest of the San Francisco Bay area to test this version of the feature. We will continue to review community feedback, make changes if necessary, and roll this feature out to more regions.
