How to use People in Photos for Mac

Want to quickly find pictures of yourself, your friends, and your family members within your Photos for Mac Library? Then check out the People album!

Face detection is nothing new when it comes to digital photography: Facebook, iPhoto, and countless other programs and websites have offered it in years past.

Photos for Mac carries on that proud tradition with an updated version of People in the app. Here's how to use it!



When you first launch People, it automatically detects and finds faces from your photographs for you to tag. You can choose to browse through the People whose faces have been detected and add specific people to your favorites.

How to add People



When you double-click on a suggested person, you're brought to a page that shows all the images with that specific person. You can either scroll through all the photos available with that person, or you can enter in their name in the upper left corner of the screen.
