After showing out for President Trump, Masayoshi Son looks at merging Sprint and T-Mobile

<p>A new Reuters report (http://www.reuters.com/article/us-sprint-corp-m-a-t-mobile-us-exclusive-idUSKBN15W26E) today shares that SoftBank is willing to hand over control of Sprint (https://9to5mac.com/guides/sprint/) to Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile (https://9to5mac.com/guides/t-mobile/) to make a merger happen, according to unnamed sources close to the matter. Discussions haven’t begun yet, but are expected to start in April after the FCC auction of airwaves and anti-collusion ban is over.</p>
<p>With Verizon (https://9to5mac.com/2017/02/12/verizon-introduces-new-unlimited-data-plan-80mo-for-unlimited-4g-data-texts-and-talk-time/) and AT&amp;T (https://9to5mac.com/2017/02/16/att-unlimited-data-plan/) both fighting to keep customers with new unlimited plans this week and 5G networks on the horizon, a merger could be mutually beneficial for Sprint and T-Mobile.</p>
