AT&T jumps on the unlimited data bandwagon with an expensive new plan

<p>AT&amp;T capped off this week’s carrier showdown by releasing its own unlimited data plan following announcements from Verizon (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3168722/mobile/verizon-revives-its-unlimited-data-plan-after-purging-legacy-unlimited-data-plan-users.html), T-Mobile (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3169595/mobile/in-verizons-wake-t-mobile-adds-hotspot-data-hd-video-streaming-to-unlimited-data-plans.html), and Sprint (http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-launches-best-unlimited-hd-plan-ever.htm).</p><p>Prior to this announcement, AT&amp;T only offered unlimited data plans to its DirecTV and U-verse subscribers.
