Apple offers new details and construction photos of Campus 2New details shed some additional light on Apple's new upcoming headquarters building, Campus 2. Speaking with Mashable, the company says that the installation of the large, curved glass panels is about 33% done, with the process requiring custom machines in order to lift each panel. Construction is also on schedule for other parts of the campus. The report also offers some details on Campus 2's "Theatre," which is where Apple plans to debut its future products. From Mashable: The 120,000-square-foot Theatre, with a capacity of 1,000 seats, is a subterranean auditorium, but that's not to say it doesn't make a statement from the outside. Designed by U.K.-based architect firm Foster+Partner, the cylinder-shaped lobby can be seen at ground level and doesn't have any columns.
