TAG Heuer working on an Apple Watch rival after criticizing smartwatches

After months of bashing Samsung, Sony, and Pebble’s “cheap, plastic-designed watches,” (http://www.techhive.com/article/2450079/this-is-what-luxury-watch-executives-think-of-your-cheap-plastic-designed-smartwatch.html) luxury watch maker TAG Heuer is developing its own smartwatch.</p><p>
Jean-Claude Biver, head of TAG Heuer parent company LVMH’s watch division, told Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2015-01-19/tag-heuer-casts-aside-swiss-made-label-to-take-on-apple-watch.html) that the upcoming Apple Watch is a huge threat to sub-$2,000 watches.
