Top iOS developer explains why Apple Watch apps shouldn’t be miniature iPhone apps

Scaling down an iPhone app may seem like a quick and easy way to develop for Apple Watch, but it’s a shortcut that almost always results in a bad user experience. Instapaper creator and iOS developer Marco Arment found this out the hard way when porting his Overcast app to Apple’s new wearable.
