If you’ve bought a Beats Pill XL speaker in the last 18 months, you can now send it back to Apple for a paycheck as part of a safety recall.</p><p>
Apple is making the voluntary recall (http://www.apple.com/support/beats-pillxl-recall/) due to an issue with the Beats Pill XL’s built-in battery, which can overheat and pose a fire safety risk in rare cases. “Because customer safety is the company’s top priority, Apple is asking customers to stop using their Beats Pill XL speakers,” a statement on Apple’s website says (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2015/06/03Important-Notice-for-Beats-Pill-XL-Customers.html).
