Rdio gets live radio from partner Cumulus Media, catching it up to competition

When Cumulus Media obtained an equity stake in Rdio (http://www.techhive.com/article/2048847/rdio-to-rock-free-ad-supported-tunes-by-end-of-2013-thanks-to-radio-partnership.html), the radio operator planned to bring its own programming to the struggling music streaming service. As Rdio continued to get buried by Spotify, Apple Music and the like, clearly that wasn’t going to be enough.</p><p>
