iPad mini 4 rumors: Slimmed down, Split View, and a better camera

The iPad mini 3 (http://www.macworld.com/article/2834505/apple-debuts-ipad-air-2-and-ipad-mini-3-thinner-faster-gold-and-with-touch-id.html) wasn’t a huge upgrade from its predecessor, offering just one new reason to buy: Touch ID. (Oh, and it came in gold.)</p><p>
But rumor has it the iPad mini 4 will take design cues from the iPad Air 2. Fans of the smaller-sized tablets could be persuaded to splurge on a slimmer mini with upgraded internals, but we’ll see if word on the street (er, the Internet) proves true. Here’s what you need to know about what the iPad mini 4 has in store.</p><h2>What’s the latest?</h2>
  <p>iOS 9 is jampacked with awesome multitasking tools (http://www.macworld.com/article/2946194/hands-on-with-ios-9s-slick-new-multitasking-features-for-ipad.html) that will finally make the iPad the perfect device for on-the-go work. But one of the next-gen OS’s best features, the side-by-side Split View, only works with the iPad Air 2—for now.
