<p>Apple’s impressive rise in China (http://www.macworld.com/article/2150281/why-apple-is-winning-in-china.html) isn’t coming without some sacrifice, as visitors are discovering that the Apple News app doesn’t work on the country’s networks.</p><p>Although Apple News (http://www.macworld.com/article/2984560/ios/how-to-get-started-with-apple-news-ios-9s-newsstand-replacement.html) is only available for U.S. customers at the moment, the  New York Times reports  (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/12/technology/apple-is-said-to-deactivate-its-news-app-in-china.html?partner=rss&amp;emc=rss&amp;_r=2) that users can still access the app while traveling overseas.
