Its predecessor, the iPhone 5s, was first released in 2013 but it’s currently still on sale (http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/iphone5s).</p><p> This report comes amidst rumors (http://www.macworld.com/article/2969391/apple-phone/rumors-of-a-new-4-inch-iphone-6c-just-wont-die.html) that Apple has been prepping to release a smaller version of its current generation iPhone, potentially a 4-inch 6c version.
