Indian regulators tell Apple it must apply again for first retail stores

India’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has told Apple it must submit another application if it wants to open its first retail stores in the country.
The DIPP has “explained the gaps” in Apple’s first application, according to one report, and it wants more information on Apple’s proposal.
