Facebook Launches Moments in the EU and Canada sans Facial Recognition

Facebook today announced that it is making Moments available to users in the EU and Canada. Moments is a private photo-sharing app from the social networking giant that uses facial recognition to identify your friends and family in photos and groups them accordingly. These photos will then also show up in your friend’s Moments app.
