Apple May Get Temporary Exemption from Local Sourcing Norms in India

After initially refusing Apple’s proposal to grant it an exception from the 30 percent local sourcing norms to open its direct retail stores in the country, the Indian government is now considering granting the Cupertino company a two-to-three year exception from it.
