According to a new report, Apple has started removing its non-Retina MacBook Pro from show floors, indicating it may be gearing up to launch a refreshed version of the laptop. As reported by AppleInsider, some stores are no longer placing the 13-inch MacBook Pro with an optical drive on display, though it does remain in stock. From AppleInsider: While the computer is still largely in stock and available to buy, some stores are no longer putting it out for shoppers to try in person, according to a tip received by AppleInsider and confirmed with follow-up checks with several Apple Stores around the U.S. A clerk at an Austin location notably said that their store had pulled non-Retina units from the showfloor just last week, and that other stores were doing the same. The optical drive-toting non-Retina MacBook Pro was last refreshed in 2012, so it wouldn't be altogether surprising to see Apple phase the model out for its Retina-equipped cousins.
