Apple officially discontinues Thunderbolt Display, points users towards third-party options

<p>Earlier this year, we reported that Apple was planning a new Thunderbolt Display with a built-in GPU (http://9to5mac.com/2016/06/01/apple-readying-new-external-5k-display-as-current-model-goes-out-of-stock-may-feature-integrated-gpu/) to replace the outdated current-gen Thunderbolt display. Now, according to TechCrunch (https://techcrunch.com/2016/06/23/start-your-speculation-engines-apple-is-discontinuing-its-thunderbolt-display/), Apple has announced that it is officially discontinuing the Thunderbolt Display.</p>
