Apple to open first iOS Developer Academy at University of Naples Federico II

Apple has teamed with the University of Naples Federico II to open the fist iOS Developer Academy. The academy, which will be free, will offer 200 student lessons in practical skills and training in app development, and open in October.

  "We are really happy to work with the University of Naples Federico II to launch the first iOS Developer Academy in Europe," said Luca Maestri , Apple's CFO .


The first semester will focus on software development skills, particularly with regard to iOS apps. In the second semester students will be instructed on creating small start-up companies and building their first apps. As space is limited, students will need to apply for a position in the academy through the university's site. The application test is available in both Italian and English.
