How to get extra Candy in Pokémon Go

There's a secret trick to getting extra Candy in Pokémon Go and you don't have to do anything special!

Pokémon Go has an extra little treat to help players get a few bonus pieces of Candy. If you've got dozens of the same Pokémon, you can trade them in for a Power Up or Evolution treat!

All you have to do is transfer the extra Pokémon to Professor Willow. So, when you end up with two dozen Rattata, you can clear out your Pokémon Summary page and get 24 pieces of Candy out of it to use to evolve your highest Rattata to Raticate (or to power up your Raticate).

To be clear, these Candies are in addition to the Candy you get when you first catch the Pokémon. They are extras.

NOTE: Different Pokémon of the same species will have different types of attacks. You may want to make sure the only Pokémon you keep is the one with the highest attack powers. Or maybe keep one of each until you know more about what their attacks can do against opponents.
