Skype makes striking up a conversation with a bot much easier on iPhone and iPad

If you've had trouble finding the perfect chat bot to strike up a conversation with in Skype on your iPhone or iPad, the app's latest update should remedy that.  The latest version of Skype adds a "Bot" icon to the top right of the recents screen, making it much easier to find a bot to start chatting up.



This version of Skype also adds @mentions, allowing you to alert specific members of a group conversation — much like Twitter's implementation. Here's the full rundown on what's new in Skype 6.20 for iPhone and iPad:


  We've made it easier to find bots on Skype - just tap on the bot icon in your Recent header.
  Found a helpful bot? Tap the conversation header while chatting to a bot and add it to your favorites.
  We've improved the reliability of your notifications.
  Muted conversations no longer appear in your unread message count.
  You'll now see when Skype is updating your conversations or when you're having network problems.
