Apple planning its first retail store in Taiwan

Apple is planning to open its first retail store in Taiwan. The company has posted a number of job listings for a retail store on the island, including retail staff.





From Reuters:


  Apple was seeking "a leader for personnel training plans for the Taiwan Apple Store" and other retail positions indicating it was looking for a team in Taiwan, according to job postings dated Friday on Apple's website.
 
  The Cupertino, California-based company confirmed it had plans to open the first Apple Store in Taiwan, but provided no other details.


While Apple already operates several retail stores in the Greater China Region , which includes Hong Kong and Taiwan, the company has not yet setup shop directly in Taiwan. The company already has 38 stores in China, along with five in Hong Kong.
