‘Reliable source’ says this year’s iPhone will indeed be called the iPhone 7, no iPhone Pro

<p>With everyone (ourselves included) using the term ‘iPhone 7’ to refer to this year’s iPhone, it can be easy to forget that the name isn’t a given. With the new iPhone expected to be only a minor iteration on the iPhone 6/6s design-wise – effectively a <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2016/05/31/iphone-three-year-cycle-claim/" target="_blank">second ‘S’ year[/url] – there have been suggestions that Apple might use <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2016/06/27/apple-new-iphone-7-pro-air-fall/" target="_blank">some other naming scheme[/url] to reflect the fact.</p>
