Title: Year-old iPhone 6s laps brand new Galaxy Note 7 in app launch test Post by: HCK on August 24, 2016, 04:05:21 pm Year-old iPhone 6s laps brand new Galaxy Note 7 in app launch test
Ouch. This video is completely apples to oranges, with a year-old iPhone 6s that sports arguably the best ARM IP in the business, built-specifically to support it's own software, and running mostly native code, going up against a brand new Galaxy Note 7, split across two processors — one of which is generic — and burdened by Java code. But nobody using either phone needs to know or care about that. All they need to know or care about is that apps launch lickety-split and stay in memory as long as possible. And if a year old iPhone does that better than a brand new Galaxy Note, good on Apple.
