iOS 9 makes it easy to unlock your phone. Keep it that way when you update to iOS 10. iOS 10 is full of great features, but one questionable decision, based on the early response from the internet peanut gallery, is having to physically press the home button to unlock a Touch ID-enabled iPhone. Though Apple made the change to address criticisms of its too-fast Touch ID sensor in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, it now adds an extra step for those who want to quickly unlock their phones by pressing and resting their finger on the home button in one motion. Luckily, there is a way to turn off this setting in iOS 10 and return the screen unlocking to its original iOS 9 behavior. Note that this how-to is only relevant to those who use the physical "lock" button on the right side of their iPhone, or the new "raise-to-turn-on-screen" feature, in conjunction with the old home button behavior.
