WhatsApp now lets you create and send GIFs

Everybody's getting in on the GIF game and now WhatsApp's 1 billion users are included.

Messaging app giant Whatsapp lets you send text, picture, and video messages, as well as make calls and more, all for free. Now you can send GIFs too!

You can now send any GIF you have saved on your iPhone from right in the WhatsApp app, in any one-on-one conversation — no group chat GIFfing just yet.

You can also create GIFs of your very own from video saved on your iPhone (by trimming it down to 6 seconds) or by capturing 6 seconds of video right in the app.

Those who have 3D Touch can even send Live Photos in all their GIF glory, and anyone can search GIFs from popular curators like Giphy and Tenor, right in WhatsApp.
