Google Docs has a spam problem like iCloud Calendar, so why aren't we freaking out about it?

Google simply isn't held to the same standard as Apple, and that's bad for all of us.

Recently, iCloud users began receiving spam in the form of Calendar invitations. It happened around U.S. Thanksgiving, was super annoying, and garnered wide-spread and well-deserved media attention. A couple days later, Apple released a statement to iMore and other outlets apologizing for the issue and promising to address it quickly. Yesterday, Apple rolled out a way to report iCloud Calendar spam on the web, and my guess is we'll see it spread to the Calendar app at some point as well.
