LG UltraFine 5K Monitor Works at 4K Resolution with Older Macs

Apple has clarified through a support document published on its website that LG’s latest UltraFine 5K display works at a lower resolution when used with older Macs. Only the company’s latest MacBook Pro lineup are capable of driving the monitor at 5K resolution. This includes the 2016 MacBook Pro without Touch Bar and Touch ID as well.
