Instagram users are spending more time in the app after it copied Snapchat Stories

<div class="feat-image">(https://9to5mac.files.wordpress.com/2017/08/instagram-stories.jpg?quality=82&strip=all&w=1600&h=900)</div><p>It’s been a whole year since Instagram rolled out (https://9to5mac.com/2016/08/02/instagram-stories-snapchat-clone/) its Snapchat-cloned Stories feature that lets users share ephemeral photos and videos on the service, and today Instagram has shared new data on Stories changing user engagement.</p>
<p>Earlier this summer Instagram shared (https://9to5mac.com/2017/06/20/facebook-instagram-250-million-users-snapchat/) that its Stories feature has 250 million users. Now Instagram says Stories has also helped increase the amount of time users spend in the app.</p>
