Laptop hard drive's death has been greatly exaggerated
         


Will all of Apple’s laptops henceforth use flash-memory? In all likelihood, yes, but that doesn’t mean you’ll see Apple phase out magnetic-based drives entirely. The future of flash is bright, but it’s too early to declare the death of magnetic-based hard drives quite yet.
