In the run-up to the HomePod’s delayed release (https://9to5mac.com/2017/11/17/homepad-delay/), I’ve been experimenting heavily (https://9to5mac.com/2018/01/02/why-choose-homepod/) with Amazon Alexa in various forms. While Alexa is most present at home where I’ve placed Echo Dots (https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Echo-Dot-Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-with-Alexa-Black/dp/B01DFKC2SO/ref=sr_1_1?sr=8-1&ie=UTF8&keywords=dot&tag=n003f1-20&qid=1515788834) throughout my house for controlling lights, I’ve also tried Alexa in the car using Garmin Speak (https://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Speak-with-Amazon-Alexa/dp/B075H6MFCZ/ref=sr_1_2?sr=8-2&ie=UTF8&keywords=garmin%2Bspeak&tag=n003f1-20&qid=1515785895) which is a dash-mounted GPS with Amazon’s voice assistant built-in.
