Apple AirPower mat cancelled, Apple says unable to meet its own standards of quality

<p>Apple has announced today that it is unable to ship the AirPower (https://9to5mac.com/guides/airpower) charging mat and have cancelled the project, via TechCrunch (https://techcrunch.com/2019/03/29/apple-cancels-airpower-product-citing-inability-to-meet-its-high-standards-for-hardware/).</p>
<p>In a statement from Dan Riccio, Apple apologized to customers that had been waiting for the product to come out. The AirPower mat was originally announced in September 2017 alongside the iPhone X (https://9to5mac.com/guides/iphone-x). Apple was silent on the project for a year and a half, and today confirmed that AirPower is cancelled.</p>
