You may remember when Apple announced (https://9to5mac.com/2017/06/05/high-sierra-to-be-first-version-of-macos-with-support-for-virtual-reality/) at WWDC 2017 that macOS High Sierra would be the first version of Mac’s operating system with support for virtual reality. In a big move, Apple worked with Valve, Unity, and Unreal to bring their VR SDKs to the Mac. Today, however, Valve announced (https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/2216278054495230718) that SteamVR for macOS will be discontinued as the company now focuses on tools for Windows and Linux.
