Chamberlain myQ smart garage door opener blocks Homebridge and more, to display ads

It follows the company last year <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2022/08/23/homekit-garagedoor-discontinued/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">discontinuing the myQ Home Bridge Hub[/url], which made the door opener <a href="https://9to5mac.com/guides/homekit/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HomeKit[/url] compatible.</p>



<p>The motivation for the move appears to be to force people to use Chamberlain’s own app, so that they will be exposed to the ads run in it … </p>
