SNL takes iPhone 5 complaints to task

Maybe you’re not such a fan of iOS 6’s revamped Maps feature. Maybe you think the iPhone 5 scuffs a little too easily. Maybe you find Apple’s latest phone a tad underwhelming.

Saturday Night Live has a three-word response to your complaints: First-world problems.

That’s the takeaway from a sketch that aired on the NBC variety show over the weekend, at any rate. The sketch, embedded below, parodies a technology talk show in which assorted pundits air their grievances over the iPhone 5. SNL, it is safe to say, is not particularly sympathetic. (Then again, it’s not as if Apple comes out of the sketch unscathed, since labor conditions at the overseas plants that assemble the iPhone also get their share of pointed commentary.)

Usually, when I watch sketches like this, I feel aggrieved if Macworld doesn’t rate a mention. This time around, though, I’m happy to be left out of this.
