Like most of iOS 7, Calendar gets a minimalist makeover in the latest update. That means emphasis on lighter interface elements, thinner text, and a general lack of adornments. The Contacts app, meanwhile, features the same colors and simplified redesign as Mail and Messages, and offers a few new tweaks for iOS 7. Calendar Even the icon gets a rework, losing the old skeuomorphic desk calendar look in favor of a simple day-of-the-week and date display. As time goes by The major changes in Calendar come on the iPhone: Previously, when you launched the Calendar app there, it showed you a full calendar of the current month, with a list of events for the current days squeezed in below. If you wanted a different view, you could toggle between List, Day, and Month views using a toolbar.
