Apple to perform CloudKit data wipe on July 7th for iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite

Apple informed developers this afternoon that it will be performing a server-side data wipe on all CloudKit public and private databases for iOS 8 beta and OS X Yosemite developer preview on July 7th. iCloud Drive, iCloud Photo Library and Mail Drop will be the three affected services by this move, which should have been expected as a routine occurrence with pre-release software.
